AstroType is a new Pixel Art typing game aimed to challenge your speed. See how far you can make it fighting monsters with your keyboard.

Inspiration

It’s a small game inspired by titles like Z-Type, Typer Shark and Epistory. As well as Pixel Art inspired by Celeste.

Other influences include growing up playing typing games like Mavis Beacon teaches typing and All The Right Type, and Pixel Art console games like Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, Super Mario World.

Recently getting into Stenography, Plover, and a Moonlander keyboard has been the inspiration to create a really solid typing game feel.

Technology

Its built with Phaser 3, Typescript, and uses a bit of React for the User Interface.
