Extensibility

The game now has a JSON-RPC API over postMessage, it has 2 features right now, “setWords”, which sets a non-randomized word list for the game to use and a notification for “playerDeath” with data for what wave the player was on when they died and the score which is the number of words completed. This enables developers to start building experiences on top of Astrotype.

Last Score / Wave

When a player dies, the last score/last wave UI will now appear on the start screen to show the players results.

Difficulty

The difficulty has been raised again after much feedback in Vintage Pixel and Plover discords. If you haven’t joined the Vintage Pixel discord, please join and provide feedback, it helps make the game better for everyone.
